The biological meaning of an adult animal or human is one who has fully grown. The term "adult" is often used in the context of human beings in order to define social and legal concepts. As we enter our early adulthood the physical capabilities of our bodies are at their best, including muscular strength, reaction time, sensory abilities, and cardiac functioning.
