Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with lowercase letters, such like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 it received a raving review from bloggers and music critics and the media. She has recorded several high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that were widely appreciated. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. This brought her some attention. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano in her basement and becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music not to get work or for a passion, but as an opportunity to grow. In order to do so, she began writing songs that were her own creations. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as being her influences. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote were not meant to make her famous however, but to encourage people to see their own value and impact to our world at large, she began playing them on stage. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument at the age of six. She began making music at the age of nine. Her family didn't be aware of this until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora never dreamed of being famous. She claims that she enjoys creating music. She believes music can make any person feel better.
